It is located about 12 miles west of the Interstate 25/Interstate 40 interchange. Take I-40 west to exit 149, the Paseo del Vulcan exit. Turn right (North) at the exit 149 stop sign. Go north four miles, then turn left (West) onto Shooting Range Rd. Do not take any turnoffs from Shooting Range Rd; just follow it for three miles to the park.
