Rick Vernon is the CSRP Rangemaster and the primary contact. 836-
8785. http://www.cabq.gov/openspace/shootingrange.html
CSRP is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Wednesday thru Sunday. Closed
Monday and Tuesday.
RGPSC will maintain its own liability insurance with the NRA, and that
insurance is required for the range usage extended to RGPSC
members.
RGPSC will provide a copy of its insurance to CSRP.
RGPSC will provide a list of its membership to CSRP and provide
regular updates. The purpose of the membership list is to validate
range usage for unsupervised practice sessions, at which RGPSC
liability insurance is in effect.
CSRP Range fees are $6.00 per shooter / day or $100.00 per year for
unlimited usage.
The CSRP policy of extending operating hours of the range for a
nominal fee is not available for either RGPSC matches or member
practice sessions. The overtime policy is only available for major
events or activities on a pre-scheduled basis.
RGPSC equipment may be stored at CSRP in enclosed portable
storage sheds or containers. CSRP is not responsible in any fashion
for loss or damage to RGPSC equipment.
RGPSC matches:
RGPSC liability insurance is in effect.
Two matches per month, the first and third Saturdays. Berms 1 – 3 and
6 (numbered from the west end) are reserved for RGPSC. The first
Saturday in October, 2006 is the only exception. Match will be held on
the second Saturday.
RGPSC may use up to four of the six west berms, with reserved berm
status for the matches in effect.
Access to the range for setup only begins at 8:30 am.
Any RGPSC member or non-member may participate in the matches.
Stages must be constructed such that there is no impact potential on
the eastern berm walls. The reason is due to the fact that any round
escaping over any eastern berm wall has the potential of landing in the
public area near the main office. Stages may be designed at an angle
into the northwest corner of each bay to allow for “right hand” impacts
into the north berm wall. The stage design restriction applies for
matches as well as practice sessions.
The importance of the impact zone restriction cannot be emphasized
enough. The ranges are monitored by CSRP officers, and any failure
to comply may result in the violator’s removal and / or match
termination.
Competitors will need to sign in at the Range Office (after 9:00 am)
and pay the range fee or provide their annual membership pass. They
will be provided a receipt. The receipt will be validated by the RGPSC
sign up officer. The competitor is required to keep the receipt on their
person. No competitor may participate without a confirmed range fee
receipt.
RGPSC Member Practice:
RGPSC liability insurance is in effect.
Shooters will need to sign in at the Range Office and pay the range fee
or provide their annual membership pass. They must either have a
current RGPSC membership card, or be on the membership list on file
at the office. Absolutely no exceptions.
Confirmed RGPSC members may practice on the western berms
under these requirements:
Two members minimum at a time. Individuals may not practice alone.
Only RGPSC members are allowed to attend any practice session.
Children, friends, spouses are not allowed, unless they are also
registered RGPSC members.
Berm usage is not reserved solely for RGPSC usage. It is suggested
that you call the range first to determine berm availability.
