Shooters must follow all NRA safety rules (listed in the sidebar) all safety
rules of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), and all
safety rules of the Albuquerque City Shooting Range Park (CSRP). CSRP is
a cold range, which means that all guns must be unloaded at all times
except when the official Range Officer gives a shooter instructions to load
and make ready.
Every match has USPSA-certified safety Range Officers (ROs) and Chief
Range Officers (CROs). We encourage all shooters to take the RO
certification.
Spectators and competitors not currently shooting must stay behind the
stage bucket and wear eye and ear protection when a stage has gone "hot"
(a shooter is at the start position for that stage, and before the RO gives
that shooter permission to "load and make ready"). We recommend that eye
and ear protection be worn at all times, even when the stage is "cold".
Remember:
Every stage must be designed to follow national USPSA safety guidelines
and the CSRP/RGPSC agreement.
All guns must remain unloaded at all times until the competitor is directed by
the RO to "load and make ready".
Always follow the 180 rule.
Finger off the trigger between target engagements.
